Ike Baker joins Troy to preview both of his Seattle talks: the restored tracing board of Walter Leslie Wilmshurst, and the ancient Egyptian Book of Thoth read as an initiation ritual, with parallels to Masonic ritual he calls startling. Ike opens with his Friday night talk at Verity Lodge: Wilmshurst's tracing board, found by Robert Lomas in a personal notebook and posted online too blurry to read, communicating in pure geometry. Ike restored and deciphered nearly all of it. Saturday at EFC he turns to Conversations in the House of Life, the new public translation of the Book of Thoth, an initiation ritual for the scribe-priests of Thoth, catechism and all. From there: Martinism and the Élus Coëns, Rosicrucian France, his new book Esoteric Mythology coming from Inner Traditions in November, public courses on Rosicrucian evocation and Dion Fortune, the seven liberal arts, and freedom of conscience in the craft.
