This one is a treat. For over a hundred and fifty years the Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia has done its work quietly and out of public view. Now it has published its first global periodical, The Rosicrucian, and its editor RW Bro. Alex Rofaila sat down with me to talk about it. What followed ran well past two hours and covered Hermeticism, the Emerald Tablet, a night alone in the King's Chamber, and why the craft still keeps its secrets.
It is one of the richest conversations we have had on the show. Pour a coffee and settle in.
New Episode
Episode 44: The Rosicrucian
w/ RW Bro. Alex Rofaila | Editor of The Rosicrucian | SRIA
The Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia is the oldest Masonic Rosicrucian society in the world, and for the first time it has stepped into the open with a global publication. Alex Rofaila, editor of The Rosicrucian and a member of SRIA since 2007, explains how the first edition on Hermeticism came together, from the Emerald Tablet to the Corpus Hermeticum. Along the way the conversation ranges across the Golden Dawn, Islamic Spain, the pyramids, and the real value of secrecy for the modern seeker.

The Lion, the Ox, the Eagle, and the Man
Four of the Royal Arch banners carry a lion, an ox, an eagle, and a man. They are not just tribal standards. They are the four fixed signs of the zodiac, and their trail runs from the palace gates of Babylon to the chapter room. A companion piece to this episode.
